Student Successes

ShovanIt is with great pleasure that we see Shovan Tamjidi, the renowned MURTC scholarship student and division 7 champion, graduate this week from Middlesex University Business School. Showing that he is not only a great Real Tennis player but a model student as well, Shovan achieved a 1st class degree in BSc Business Economics and Statistics. His committment has paid dividends as he has landed himself a position in the city starting this month. It should be encouraging to the Middlesex University academic staff and his MURTC peers that as a product of both organisations students like Shovan are both rewarded for their great effort, and also that their future will likely benefit the University and the society they venture into.

I’m sure you will join MURTC in wishing Shovan all the best in the future and hope the new job will not prevent him from bringing his brand of magic to our court!!!

Our lovable German contingent has also done extremely well on the academic front. Dennis Schmidt and Bjoern Lojda (both MURTC members) also achieved 1st class honours and are both aiming to take a Masters programme – although they will need to look up locations of local Real Tennis courts before choosing their institution!!!

I’m sure all three successful students will continue to promote our beloved sport wherever their futures may take them.

No pressure Rene…….
