MURTC 2010 Student’s Category Draw
Club Handicap Championship Rules:
- Matches should be played off the correct handicap (the singles handicap calculator is on the main notice board for your reference).
- All matches should be played using the handicap of each player at the beginning of the tournament, (i.e. J. Bloggs, handicap 55, January 1 2010 will, regardless of any handicap improvement or decline, be a 55 handicap for the final. This may altered by the Club professional in exceptional circumstances, and only with consultation.
- All matches up to and including the semi-finals should be played as a super set; first to 10 games wins the match. So although this format is designed to complete the match in a regular court hour, it is not expected an hour would be required for a match that finished 9-7 at the end of an hour – this score will become the result. Equally, if both parties are agreeable to playing a longer format for the result, this can be arranged, with all courts used to be paid for.
- The Final will be best of 3 sets, starting at 3-3 in the final set.
- The Final will be marked, any other match can be marked on request for usual marking rates. Note: please try to give 24+ hours notice if you will require marking.
